A 27 hole golf course 10 min walk. (pay and play)

The golf course is standing in 110 hectares, 3 x 9 hole course “Blue White and Red” can be mixed into 1 x 18 hole course.

A balcony leading from the lounge overlooking the old orchard.  There is a table and 4 chairs and South facing so sunny most of the day.

Free parking within the designated parking in the Chateau grounds, limited parking outside the apartment for loading and unloading.

There is a large ground floor room within the Chateau  where you can take your breakfast overlooking the swimming pool.  There are books etc. and a full size snooker table, tired, but a good play according to my husband. 

Poitou-Charentes is one of the sunniest spots in western France with statistically more sun hours per year and an average temperature of 26 degrees.  As well as the pleasant weather, there is beautiful scenery, picturesque villages, a relaxed atmosphere not to mention the excellent regional cuisine.

The goats cheeses from the region, are excellent and carry exotic names.  Delicious at the end of the meal or with drinks.  The local wines from the various departments are almost all of good quality and don't forget to try the Macarons de Montmorillon (almond biscuits).

There are plenty recreational activities and 30 minute drive away are Parthanay or Poitier where you can enjoy a shopping trip and lunch.  Within a radius of 50 Km. there are many sights, entertainment, amusement parks (Futurescope) and the most beautiful amusement park in Europe, Puy du Fou.  If you want a wonderful coastal day, La Rochelle and Ile de Re, only a 1.5 hours drive and well worth the miles.  Poitiers has a vibrant nightlife suitable for young and old.
